Position Summary
Command and Control Operations specialists keep our units communicating effectively. They use some of the military’s most-advanced technology to control aircraft and missiles and collaborate with personnel to manage operations and assess threats. And it’s up to them to make sure all necessary information is accurate before it reaches our top decision-makers so we can execute our missions successfully.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate the latest technology to control missile launches.
- Support operations with state-of-the-art voice, data and alerting systems.
- Command and control facilities in the air and on the ground.
- Monitor actions to keep Airmen safe and restore operations after missions and natural disasters.

Qualifications
This job requires military service with a contract as a commissioned officer in the Air National Guard. The application is for a specific position within the Air National Guard.
- A high school senior (age 17 or older)*, high school diploma, a GED or 15 college semester hours
- 55 Administrative (A) and 57 General (G) score on the ASVAB
- Knowledge of Air Force organization and administration
- No record of emotional instability
- Normal color vision
- Ability to speak English clearly and distinctly
- Completion of a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)
- Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 42
*High school students may start their application as early as the end of their junior year
