Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing. Comprehensive periodontal charting. Detailed periodontal treatment such as root planing and curettage.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to their needs.
- Assist with chairside procedures such as dental imaging, medical imaging, and applying topical agents.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols.
- Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed through aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures.
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to deliver efficient, high-quality general dentistry services.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
- Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation review and medical coding
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology.
- Ability to perform four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency during procedures.
