Job Description
Required Skills: To qualify for consideration, an applicant must possess the following skills.
- Structural welding experience
- Able to read blueprints and pass a blueprint assessment
- Fitting and assembly experience.
- Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as: standard / metric tape measure and micrometer
- Welder to have the job knowledge to inspect his or her own work and be willing to learn what is acceptable before 90-day review
- Must be able or willing to learn to install and set up fixtures and tooling
- Vertical and horizontal saw operation or willing to learn
- Ironworker operations or willing to learn
- Drill press operations or willing to learn
- Requires standing for long periods, stooping, bending, stretching, twisting and no fear of heights
- Will be required to become Fork Lift and Crane Certified
- Responsible for his or her area of the shop for housekeeping and organization and will utilize clean up time assigned at the end of each day to do so
Must have your own personal protective welding helmet and welding gloves.
Reliable transportation.
Successfully complete a welding exam prior to employment.
Required to have your own pair of steel toe shoes.
Safety glasses and gloves (not welding gloves) will be provided.
Must be physically capable to perform general steel fabrication work requirements.
Must be able to comply with all conditions and physical requirements with little or no restrictions.
