Responsibilities:
The Transport RT will participate in the initial patient assessment for patients aged neonatal to 21 years (neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent), or as requested by the Med Control Physician, utilizing age appropriate principles of growth and development. The Transport RT, under the direction of the Transport Team Medical Director, performs necessary diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. All activities are performed within the guideline of written and medical director approved transport protocols. The Transport RT acts in a leadership role, demonstrates professional development/clinical competency; applies knowledge of growth and development; and performance of other related duties. Advanced or additional job functions of the Transport RT, may vary from other areas, due to volume and specific center needs, and not all staff will be trained to perform these skills. These duties shall vary, but SHALL NOT exceed those constraints placed upon you by the State of Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care.

Three years of Neonatal Intensive Care or Pediatric Intensive Care experience

Respiratory Therapist (State)
Desired:

One year Neonatal (or) Pediatric Transport experience

Certified Neonatal Pediatric Transport OR Neonatal Pediatric Specialist OR Registered Respiratory Therapist (National)
