Avir at John Jones is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our exceptional in-house rehab team in Burleson, Texas. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will provide skilled occupational therapy services to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, works well within a multidisciplinary team, and is committed to delivering high-quality rehabilitation services.
Provide occupational therapy treatments and interventions according to physician orders and established care plans
Assist residents in improving mobility, strength, independence, and activities of daily living
Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and treatment goals
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with company policies and state and federal regulations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient outcomes
Participate in meetings and care planning as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation
Ensure all treatments are delivered safely, effectively, and compassionately
Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license
Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred
Knowledge of Net Health documentation system preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills
Ability to work effectively with residents of varying needs and personalities
