Oral Surgery Assistants provide crucial support to oral surgeons, handling tasks before, during, and after surgical procedures. You support patients, assist with procedures, manage equipment, and educate patients on post-operative care. Your role is vital in ensuring smooth and efficient oral surgery operations.
You will effectively communicate with patients, doctors, coworkers, and referring physicians. Your outlook, demeanor, and interaction with others are a reflection of both the doctors and the practice.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Assist surgeons during oral surgical procedures in a clinic
Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and supplies
Set up sterile fields and ensure adherence to aseptic techniques
Hand instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures
Maintain accurate medical records using DSN and other electronic systems
Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
Assist with patient positioning and prepping for surgery
Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures
Provide post-operative care and instructions to patients
Experience:
Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist
Familiarity with DSN or other electronic medical record systems
Knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and procedures
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
X-Ray Certification
