Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with legal research using tools such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, and iManage to gather relevant case law, statutes, and legal precedents.
- Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, contracts, briefs, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
- Manage case files and document review processes using document management systems to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support litigation activities by organizing files, scheduling depositions, coordinating court filings, and tracking deadlines in compliance with procedural law requirements.
- Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses to gather pertinent information for cases involving personal injury, family law, estate planning, or other practice areas.
- Handle data entry, filing, and general administrative tasks such as answering phones with professional etiquette and managing calendars for attorneys.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws including UCC law, tribal regulations, securities law, workers’ compensation law, patent law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, environmental law, and civil litigation procedures.
Qualifications
- Paralegal experience or prior legal support experience in a fast-paced law office environment is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of procedural law and legal research methods using Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) along with familiarity with document management systems like iManage.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
- Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
- Experience supporting diverse practice areas such as estate planning, family law, personal injury law, securities law, or environmental law is a plus.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally.
- Strong proofreading skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail in legal drafting and document review.

Pay: $42,500.00 - $50,000.00 per year
