Overview - FULL CYCLE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
Join our dynamic construction finance team as a Construction Accounts Payable Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in managing the company's financial obligations related to construction projects. This energetic position offers the opportunity to collaborate with project managers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of payments. Your expertise will help drive efficiency, maintain compliance with financial standards, and support the successful completion of our construction initiatives.
Duties
- Process and verify all construction-related invoices using accounting software Yardi and Procore ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions regularly, including reviewing debits & credits and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with construction managers and procurement teams to verify purchase orders and ensure proper coding of expenses.
- Maintain detailed records of all accounts payable activities, including invoice tracking, approvals, payment schedules, and credit card reconciliation.
- Conduct account reconciliations for job cost accounts related to construction projects and assist in month-end closing processes.
- Review AIA documents and work with subcontractors for accurate invoicing, and collect waivers
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting such as retention, contract reconciliations, reviewing waivers, debits & credits, and journal entries.
- Experience working with financial software like Procore and Yardi or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with accounts payable processes within construction accounting environments.
- Ability to perform detailed AIA construction invoice review accurate payable processing.
- Proficiency in data entry and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
