Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in residential and commercial settings
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and maintenance
- Conduct diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools to identify electrical issues quickly and efficiently
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and safety procedures
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely on industrial or commercial systems as needed
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation projects and industrial electrical systems
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection reports, wiring diagrams, and compliance documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician with a strong background in both residential and commercial projects
- Demonstrated industrial electrician experience is highly preferred
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, and performing repairs efficiently
- Experience working with low voltage systems, high voltage wiring, and industrial electrical systems
- Familiarity with high-voltage electrical wiring techniques used in industrial or large-scale commercial environments
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, multimeters (including ohmmeters), and other diagnostic equipment
- Construction site experience with renovation or new build projects is desirable
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team on complex projects requiring precise execution
