Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Recovery Specialist to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support to individuals navigating recovery from behavioral health challenges, addiction, or crisis situations. Duties
- Conduct thorough intake assessments to understand clients’ needs, histories, and goals, ensuring personalized recovery plans.
- Supervise and monitor clients’ daily activities, ensuring safety and adherence to treatment protocols.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies promptly and effectively during emergency situations to de-escalate conflicts and ensure client safety.
- Provide addiction counseling and behavioral health support, guiding clients through recovery processes with empathy and professionalism.
- Manage case documentation meticulously, including data entry, filing, and data collection to track progress and compliance.
- Administer medication as prescribed following proper protocols and maintain accurate medication administration records.
- Facilitate conflict management by mediating disputes and promoting positive communication among clients and staff.
- Support children or vulnerable populations by providing childcare services when needed within the recovery environment.
- Maintain security measures by monitoring premises, conducting safety checks, and adhering to security protocols.
- Collaborate with home & community care providers to coordinate services that support clients’ ongoing recovery outside the facility.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in behavioral health or social work settings with a focus on recovery or crisis management.
- Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, team members, and community partners.
- Knowledge of addiction counseling techniques and behavioral health practices.
- Experience in case management, intake procedures, data entry, filing, and data collection systems.
- Ability to administer first aid confidently in emergency situations.
- Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs or similar housing initiatives is a plus.
- Home & community care experience demonstrating ability to support clients in their natural environments.
- Skills in conflict management, behavioral management strategies, and social work principles.
