POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Inventory and Shipping Associate
Job Summary: The Inventory and Shipping Associate is responsible for keeping track of min/max inventory levels of installation and project related materials. This position will also be responsible for tool tracking and shipping for projects in support of DataOne’s mission -- specifically, support better management of inventory levels, incoming materials from projects and supply level planning.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels.
- Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
- Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
- Communicates with employees to meet business goals and address personnel issues.
- Monitors demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Daily Responsibilities:
- Operate mechanical lift, winch, or vehicles
- Load and unload materials
- Take inventory of materials shipped or received
- Store, count, weigh, and open materials received
- Load and unload trucks, railway cars, and other vehicles for transporting goods
- Fill warehouse orders
- Label boxes to identify materials
- Dispose of leftover packing materials such as wooden crates, pallets, and cardboard
Experience Required:
- Ability to use computer technology to make labels, track inventory, and keep a record of storage
- Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
- Must be able to function independently in a responsive, timely and organized manner
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Fork lift experience preferred
