Precision Equipment Packing & Restoration Technician
Position Summary
We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Packing & Restoration Technician to prepare specialized laser equipment for shipment and assist with cosmetic restoration.
The primary role is safely and accurately packing valuable equipment according to established procedures. This position also includes maintaining the warehouse, monitoring supplies, and performing cosmetic repairs and refinishing.
We are looking for someone who is self-managed, mechanically inclined, takes pride in their work, and can anticipate potential problems before they occur.
Primary Responsibilities – Packing & Warehouse
- Follow detailed packing instructions and procedures.
- Inspect, protect, secure, and prepare laser equipment and components for shipment.
- Use small hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain strong attention to detail while working efficiently and managing time effectively.
- Anticipate potential packing or shipping issues and adjust appropriately.
- Work independently and recognize when a situation requires additional direction.
- Keep the warehouse, packing areas, tools, and materials clean and organized.
- Monitor inventory of packing, cleaning, and other commonly used supplies.
- Notify management when supplies need to be reordered.
- Properly dispose of boxes, packing materials, cleaning materials, and other waste.
Cosmetic Restoration
Assist with restoring used equipment as close to a like-new appearance as possible.
- Inspect equipment for scratches, chips, cracks, damaged panels, and other cosmetic issues.
- Prep, sand, fill, mask, paint, and refinish equipment surfaces.
- Match existing paint colors and finishes.
- Repair damaged covers and components using fiberglass, Bondo/body filler, or similar materials.
- Problem-solve unusual repairs and determine the best approach to achieve a professional result.
- Inspect completed work closely and correct imperfections when necessary.
Preferred Experience & Skills
Experience in automotive refinishing, auto body repair, painting, fiberglass repair, paint/body preparation, detailing, furniture or cabinet refinishing, equipment restoration, fabrication, or similar hands-on finishing work is highly desirable.

Previous laser or medical-equipment experience is not required. Equipment-specific packing and handling procedures will be taught.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
