The Study Hall Paraeducator assists teachers and other professional practitioners by providing instructional and student support within study hall and other assigned educational settings.
This position supports a structured, productive learning environment by monitoring student behavior and engagement, assisting students with assignments and organizational skills, reinforcing classroom expectations and procedures, and providing individualized assistance as directed by licensed instructional staff. The Study Hall Paraeducator may also assist with supervision, attendance, recordkeeping, and other routine responsibilities that contribute to the efficient operation of the educational environment.
Essential Job Functions:

Assists students with the organization and completion of daily work assignments

Assists with evaluating and testing students

Works with small groups of students in various subject areas

Follows established procedures for monitoring student behavior when supervising small or large groups

Monitors students whereabouts and observe student safety

Performs routine clerical duties such as copying, typing, answering/making telephone calls, and basic troubleshooting

Performs additional non-instructional duties including, but not limited to, cafeteria duty, bus duty, hall duty, and office duty

Performs other duties as assigned by the principal or designee

Education and Experience:
Required
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
A minimum of two (2) years working with children within an instructional, educational or related setting

Ability to successfully complete and maintain a Basic First Aid and CPR certification

Employment Terms: Employment may be offered as a 10-Month (185 Day) contract, at a minimum of 7.5 hours worked per day. This position is evaluated annually.
