The Scrub Technician plays a critical role in supporting surgical procedures primarily focused on spine, neurosurgery, and pain management. Working within a small, specialized team of 2-4 members, this role involves instrument preparation, sterilization, and ensuring the operating environment meets stringent patient safety and compliance standards. The typical schedule is a standard day shift with overtime as needed, emphasizing collaboration and readiness in a fast-paced surgical setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Maintain surgical equipment to ensure optimal functionality
- Assist surgical team during spine, neurosurgery, and pain management procedures
- Monitor and replenish surgical supplies throughout operations
- Adhere strictly to infection control and compliance protocols
- Ensure patient safety by maintaining a sterile environment
- Collaborate effectively with team members to support surgical workflow
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in surgical technology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and operating room protocols
- Familiarity with infection control and patient safety practices
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Time management and problem-solving abilities
Pay: $48.00 per hour
