We're a well-established independent auto repair shop, and we're looking for a Customer Service Coordinator who is the kind of person customers genuinely enjoy talking to — someone warm, dependable, and unflappable on a busy day.
You'll be the voice and face of our shop: answering phones, setting appointments, welcoming customers at drop-off and pick-up, and keeping our front office organized. You'll also take ownership of our social media presence — posting updates, responding to reviews, and helping us stay connected with our community.
No deep automotive knowledge required — we'll train you. But genuine curiosity about cars and a willingness to learn the language of the shop will go a long way.
This is a full-time, office position with hands-on training and room for growth.
This role is a great fit if you:
- Light up when a customer walks in or calls — you're the person who makes people feel taken care of, even when it's hectic.
- Take pride in doing things the right way: following a process, keeping notes accurate, and not cutting corners just because no one is watching.
- Have real phone experience — not just answering calls, but actively scheduling, confirming, and managing a busy call queue without dropping the ball.
- Have managed or contributed to a business's social media: writing posts, responding to reviews, and representing a brand voice consistently.
- Stay steady under pressure. Busy mornings with three customers at the counter and a ringing phone don't rattle you — they energize you.
This is probably not the right fit if you:
- Get restless in structured environments or prefer to define your own systems from scratch rather than master an existing one.
- Are looking for a role where customer interaction is occasional — our customers are the core of every single day.
- Have extensive experience in a specialized field and are hoping to pivot into management quickly — this role grows gradually, and that's intentional.
Responsibilities include:
- Answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Greeting customers at drop-off and check-out
- Managing and posting to our social media accounts; monitoring and responding to reviews
- Parts intake, verification, and inventory management
- Local customer shuttling
- Learning our shop management software
- Supporting the Service Manager
- Occasionally picking up and/or returning parts from vendors
- General office and clerical duties
What we're looking for:
- Verifiable phone-based customer service experience
- Social media management (business accounts preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced office
- Valid driver's license
- Familiarity with automotive terms a plus — not required
This position is not for someone who gets bored easily or dislikes structure. It is for someone who wants to grow, learn, and become a key part of a busy shop.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Benefits:
- 401(k)
- Dental insurance
- Health insurance
- Paid time off
- Retirement plan
