American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Joint Commission-accredited community hospital and regional referral center in Lake Havasu City, AZ, requiring at least 2 years of RN experience and active telemetry skills.

40-bed Medical Surgical Telemetry unit within a 171-bed community hospital and Level 3 Trauma center certified as a Chest Pain Center

Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients with total joint, surgical, ACS, CHF, CKD, alcohol withdrawal, SIRS, and GI bleed presentations

Patient ratio of 1:6

Equipment includes Baxter IV pumps, Posey bed/chair alarms, Omnicell drug dispensing cabinet, and Zoll defibrillators

EMR: Medhost
-
Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts per week on a mixed shift basis
-
4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule period
-
Floating to other units (IMC, ED) is expected
-
No scheduled on-call; however, shifts may be flexed to on-call up to twice during the contract as needed

Active AZ RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand

Current AHA certifications: BLS and ACLS required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience

Recent acute care experience required

Demonstrated telemetry experience required

Ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio

Prior travel nursing experience required

ADN or higher required

Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

Located in Lake Havasu City, AZ — a scenic outdoor recreation destination with mountain ranges and lake views, within driving distance of Las Vegas, Phoenix, the Grand Canyon, and Southern California

Preceptor and charge nurse experience is a plus

Compassionate, positive, and can-do attitude preferred

Black scrubs (top and bottom) required; open-toe shoes are not permitted

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
