We are seeking to hire a talented, hard-working and committed individual specifically for our Lathe Department.
The role of Multi-Axis CNC Lathe Setup / Operator at HAPI is the very heat-beat of our operation. These professionals keep our advanced machine spindles turning non-stop and are responsible for crafting components for some of the most advanced air assets our country has in its inventory including, the F-35, F-18, F-16, C-130 and several Commercial Aircraft. You will be directly responsible for supporting American Troops & American Pilots on a daily basis making critical components that only a small faction of CNC shops in the USA manufacture.

Qualifications
Candidates must have at least 5 years minimum experience operating CNC Lathes in the precision CNC industry, Aerospace experience is a big plus.
Experience operating Multi-Axis – Twin Turret / Twin Spindle lathes a substantial plus, experience with Nakamura a substantial plus.
Responsibilities
· The CNC Lathe Operator’s primary role includes operating both Smaller Gang Lathes, running Aerospace Grade Fasteners as well as Nakamura Multi-Axis – Twin Turret – Twin Spindle lathes. You will be at times, be responsible for running Flight Safety Components as well. Materials include, components made from Alloy Steel, Inconel, Stainless Steel and Alloy Steel.
· The secondary role of the CNC Lathe Operator, is to help setup new lathe jobs as required. This would apply once the individual has proven he or she has substantial knowledge of the CNC machine tools we use, offsets, tooling, material, work-holding etc.
· Set-up and operate CNC Lathes while attaining reasonable, daily output numbers.
· Complete various machining operations to produce high quality components and fasteners while referencing specific blueprints, operation sheets, or other specifications
· Locate and maintain cutting tools, gages and all other equipment needed to complete the operation and or set-up, change out worn tooling during the production run, clean collets, empty out chips etc.
· Make all required adjustments to the machinery, offset changes etc. (Familiarity with FANUC Controls Required)
· Assist and train other Operators or Set-up/Operators with set-up or production issues. We embrace a team atmosphere, we ALL learn from each other.
· Perform visual & dimensional verification using measuring instruments as per the guidelines established by the HAPI, the part complexity etc
· Ensure that all manufactured parts are in full compliance to HAPI quality standards, you will be making Flight Safety parts supporting our countries top Air Assets, you will not make more critical parts anywhere.
· Perform all routine maintenance on the equipment, parts, and maintain all fluid levels, keep machines emptied of chips
· Move finished work to an assigned area and enter work performed into required spread sheets. Complete travelers as required. Have the ability to be aware of the flow of jobs through the shop, jobs on deck for the machine.

CNC Lathe Operator / Machine Operator Requirements:
· Candidates must be able to read blueprints, use a micrometer as well as a caliper, you will be tested.
· Previous experience as a CNC Machine Operator is required (CNC lathes primary, milling a plus and thread rolling a plus)
· Manual machining experience is a plus and you should know you way around manual lathes and milling machines at this point in your career.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to push / pull / carry up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand for up to 8+ hours
