Our orthodontic practice is looking for a skilled Dental Assistant preferably with orthodontic experience to join our team approximately 34 hours per week. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, professional, and confident in chairside procedures. We are willing to train the right candidate!

Requirements:
- Orthodontic experience preferred.
- Strong communication and clinical skills.
- Reliable transportation between San Rafael and Petaluma.

Hours:
- Monday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Petaluma)
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PMor 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Emergency Patient Day; alternates weekly; San Rafael)
- Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (San Rafael)
- Thursday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (San Rafael; alternating weekly)
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Petaluma)
Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontic team with chairside procedures, including preparing treatment areas, instruments, and dental materials for orthodontic procedures.
- Manage patient flow and provide compassionate patient care, including patient education and handling concerns during visits.
- Operate and maintain dental equipment and imaging devices (e.g., 3D scanners, X-ray as applicable), ensuring sterilization and infection control per policies.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, medical and dental records, and comply with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
- Support front desk tasks as needed, including scheduling, patient communication, and coordinating with specialists to optimize treatment plans.
