ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is responsible for ensuring that all products released to customers meet strict company quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in quality inspection, and thrives in a production-driven environment involving incoming inspection, process evaluation, and final product verification.
This role supports the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with documented procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The Quality Specialist is accountable for identifying and escalating product and process deficiencies, driving resolution, and ensuring compliance with applicable industry, national, and international standards. Strong organization, teamwork, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement are essential for success in this role.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- You will support and drive product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across operations:
- Identify, escalate, and support resolution of product and process quality issues while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Perform final QC/QA inspections on finished products and maintain accurate inspection and test records.
- Maintain and improve Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems and quality reporting.
- Develop and update quality forms, procedures, and work instructions to support data integrity and compliance.
- Support development of test methods, inspection techniques, and acceptance criteria for products and processes.
- Conduct inspection and testing of incoming materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
- Manage nonconforming materials, including segregation, documentation, and participation in Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
- Coordinate calibration of test equipment, maintain certification records, and ensure equipment compliance.
- Perform and support First Article Inspections (FAI) and participate in design and quality review activities.
- Review and maintain quality documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with the QMS.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to support supplier quality requirements and qualification activities.
- Participate in internal and supplier audits; track corrective actions and verify effectiveness.
- Collect, analyze, and report quality data to identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support overall Quality Management System effectiveness and compliance efforts.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- 2–5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or similar role.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, API, IEC, J-STD).
- Certifications (CQI)-ASQ, (CQT)-ASQ or Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt is a plus.
- IPC A 610 certification is a plus.
- Experience with inspection methods, testing techniques, and SPC tools.
- Familiarity with audits, corrective actions (CAPA), and nonconformance handling.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports to support decision-making.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify defects, trends, and process gaps.
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience working in manufacturing or regulated environments.
