Childcare Assistant – Licensed Group Home Daycare
Location: Rockford, MI
Job Type: Part-time or Full-time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, between 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Hiring Timeline: Seeking to hire within 1 week
Must be at least 18 and graduated from high school

Our program focuses on meaningful relationships, play‑based learning, and consistent, compassionate care. We are seeking a dependable, caring individual who shares these values and enjoys working with children of all ages.
Please Note: We are currently at full capacity with a waitlist. We cannot accept applicants who need to bring their own children.
Position Overview
The Childcare Assistant supports daily routines, supervision, and age‑appropriate activities while helping maintain a positive, structured environment. This role requires flexibility, patience, and a genuine love for children.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care to children ages infant through school age
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment
- Support play‑based learning and daily activities
- Assist with meals, transitions, and general supervision
- Build positive, professional relationships with children, families, and co‑workers
- Follow licensing rules and daycare policies
Qualifications
- Passion for working with children and supporting their growth
- Reliability, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment
- CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain — assistance provided)
- Must meet all State of Michigan childcare licensing requirements
All required training and certifications will be supported.
