Janitor / Custodian
Job SummaryWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in commercial facilities. The ideal candidate will take pride in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Clean windows, glass, mirrors, and other surfaces
- Restock restroom and facility supplies as needed
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report maintenance issues
- Follow safety procedures and company cleaning standards
- Identify and report facility repairs or safety hazards
- Ensure all assigned areas are cleaned according to schedule
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, standing, and walking for extended periods
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures is a plus
