Job Overview
Join our dynamic hospitality team at the La Quinta Inn & Suites Durango as a Front Desk Agent, where you will be the welcoming face of our hotel . This pivotal role combines guest relations, administrative oversight, and operational excellence to ensure a seamless experience for our guests. As Night Auditor, you will handle overnight financial reconciliations, maintain security protocols, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure our guests feel valued and cared for throughout their stay. Your energetic and proactive approach will help uphold our standards of hospitality management and guest satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures using property management system (PMS) OPERA Cloud
- Manage guest inquiries via multi-line phone systems, providing prompt and professional assistance with reservations, billing, and general information
- Conduct night audit processes, including financial reconciliation, reporting discrepancies, and preparing daily summaries for management
- Maintain security by monitoring CCTV surveillance, conducting property inspections, and following hotel emergency procedures to ensure guest safety at all times
- Handle guest requests efficiently, resolving issues with customer service problem-solving skills while maintaining positive client communication
- Update reservation records accurately and manage room assignments to optimize occupancy and guest experience
- Communicate effectively with team members across departments to coordinate guest services and hotel operations during overnight shifts
Skills
- Strong background in hospitality management with experience in hotel operations and front desk functions
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance guest interactions across diverse populations
- Proficiency in hospitality reservation systems such as OPERA or other property management systems (PMS) is essential
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest relations, phone etiquette, and hospitality standards
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to respond swiftly during incidents or emergencies
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction via phone or in person, demonstrating professionalism and clarity
- Experience with night audit procedures, multi-line phone systems, and resort or hotel environments is preferred
- Ability to problem-solve efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
