Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that every customer feels valued and well-served. Previous restaurant or food service experience, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings, is highly desirable. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are strictly followed during service and food handling
- Clear tables promptly and assist with bussing as needed
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including setting tables and sanitizing surfaces
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally
- Assist with guest services such as hosting or seating when necessary
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment
- Upselling techniques to promote menu items and specials effectively
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in fine dining, nightclub, or hospitality settings is preferred
- Basic math skills for billing and cash handling purposes
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if required
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as serving, bussing, host/host, or food preparation is advantageous
