Overview
Join our healthcare team as a Medical Intake Coordinator & Customer Service Representative. This role focuses on processing patient orders, including entering patient and order information into systems, verifying insurance, and coordinating with doctors’ offices to ensure patients receive their medical supplies without delays.
No prior DME experience is required — we provide full training. Candidates with medical office, billing, front desk, or intake experience are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Review incoming prescriptions/orders via fax and email
- Enter patient and order information accurately into systems (data entry)
- Verify insurance eligibility and coverage for medical supplies
- Contact doctor offices to request missing documentation (notes, forms, authorizations)
- Communicate with patients regarding order status and next steps
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow HIPAA guidelines
Requirements
- Experience in a medical office, billing, front desk, or intake role
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working on a computer and using multiple systems
- Comfortable making outbound calls to patients and doctor offices
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks
- Understanding of insurance verification is a plus
- DME experience is a plus, but not required (training provided)
Work Environment
- Combination of computer work, phone communication, and coordination tasks
- Include assisting patients in-store
Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
