American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a 13-week outpatient infusion and physician clinic assignment requiring a minimum of 2 years of oncology experience and an active VA or compact RN license.

Outpatient oncology physician and infusion clinic setting

Patient population includes those with a variety of cancers and hematologic conditions, with common diagnoses including breast malignancies and hematological malignancies

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with five 8-hour shifts per week (40 hrs/week)

Clinic is closed for seven recognized holidays with no on-call requirements

Floating may be required to other ISCI locations (Fairfax, Fair Oaks, or Loudoun)

EMR: Epic/Beacon

Active VA or compact RN license required

AHA BLS certification required

BSN required

Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required

Strong organizational and verbal communication skills required

Epic/Beacon EMR experience preferred

Chemotherapy certification preferred

Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred

Responsibilities include evaluating patients at each clinic visit, managing symptoms related to cancer and/or treatment, patient education, assisting with procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Duties rotate between phone-based symptom management/coordination and in-clinic patient support on an alternating schedule with other nurses

No holiday coverage requirements and no on-call responsibilities
