Job Summary

Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and flatbed trucks, adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to follow assigned routes, including route driving and over-the-road (OTR) routes when necessary.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload freight such as refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, or other cargo following proper manual handling procedures.
- Deliver freight accurately to local destinations while maintaining excellent customer service and communication.
- Manage truck loading and unloading processes, ensuring proper cargo handling for logistics cargo handling requirements.
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
Skills
- Valid Class A CDL
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Safe driving record
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules
- Experience with GPS and electronic logging systems is a plus
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, load & unload procedures, and vehicle maintenance awareness.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate deliveries and ensure compliance with all safety standards.
