Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide expert advice on lawn care, landscape maintenance, floral design, and gardening products
- Assist customers in identifying plants, flowers, tools, and outdoor accessories to meet their needs
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions including cash handling and retail math calculations
- Maintain well-stocked shelves through effective stocking and merchandising practices
- Support store organization by managing inventory levels, labeling products, and ensuring cleanliness of displays
- Offer guidance on plant identification and horticultural best practices to enhance customer satisfaction
- Promote e-commerce options by informing customers about online ordering or digital services available
Requirements
- Passion for gardening, horticulture, floral design, or outdoor landscaping with a desire to share knowledge with others
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of plant identification, lawn care techniques, landscape maintenance, and floral arrangements is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills to manage stock levels and maintain attractive displays
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while demonstrating customer service excellence
