Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Production Superintendent to lead our manufacturing operations with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily production activities, ensure optimal workflow, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the plant. Duties
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of production management, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation using ERP systems such as SAP and other Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) tools.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and lean management strategies to enhance process efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall plant performance.
- Monitor production metrics through Excel data analysis and supply chain analytics to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for process improvement.
- Oversee quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications and compliance standards while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with supply chain management teams to optimize inventory levels, streamline procurement, and enhance supply chain operations.
- Manage plant operations by coordinating assembly lines, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes while maintaining safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing operational data, leading root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions for process enhancement.
- Monitor production rates, quality, yields, downtime, and operating costs.
- Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining product quality standards.
- Lead shift meetings and communicate expectations clearly.
- Participate in capital projects, shutdown planning, and process improvements.
- Develop supervisors and operators through coaching and training.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of manufacturing management principles.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment and respond to operational needs as necessary.
- Solid knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, process improvement methodologies, and supply chain management practices.
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment, assembly lines, and plant machinery.
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team development, safety culture promotion, and operational excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Agriculture, Industrial Technology Manufacturing Management or related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
Pay: $68,315.56 - $100,000.00 per year
