Position Overview
JT3 Lawn & Landscape is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our mowing division. We are hiring both Mowing Crew Members and Mowing Crew Leaders to maintain commercial properties, apartment communities, HOAs, and other landscape accounts throughout the Des Moines metro area. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality work, and wants an opportunity to grow within a rapidly expanding company.
Compensation & Benefits
Mowing Crew Member: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour based on experience.
- Mowing Crew Leader: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience and leadership ability. Potential company vehicle for qualified crew leaders.
- Holiday pay after 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities
- Operate commercial zero-turn mowers, stand-on mowers, trimmers, edgers, and blowers. Maintain high-quality mowing and property appearance standards. Complete daily routes efficiently and safely. Assist with landscape projects and property maintenance as needed. Perform equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns. Follow company safety procedures and customer property guidelines.
- Additional Crew Leader Responsibilities
- Lead and direct crew members throughout the workday. Ensure routes are completed on schedule and to company standards. Train and mentor new employees. Communicate with management regarding property issues, delays, and customer concerns. Monitor equipment condition and crew productivity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous commercial mowing or landscaping experience. Experience operating commercial lawn equipment. Mechanically inclined and able to perform routine equipment maintenance. Leadership experience preferred for crew leader candidates. Valid driver's license preferred.
- Required Qualifications
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to lift 50+ pounds. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Ability to follow directions and maintain quality standards. Valid driver's license required for Crew Leader applicants. Schedule Monday through Friday Seasonal overtime available during peak periods Occasional weekend work may be required during busy seasons
