This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Distribution Manager. Under general direction, this position will plan, coordinate, control and manage warehouse operations. To ensure continuous coverage, the manager will work flexible day and night shifts to support the management team during scheduled time off.
Under general direction, this position will plan, coordinate, control and manage warehouse operations.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
- Plan, direct, manage and coordinate all areas of activities and employees for the Warehouse.
- Responsible for the order pulling, breakage/spoilage, safety, equipment operation, driver check-in, returns and truck loading.
- Responsible for accurate management of time & attendance system.
- Responsible for proper inventory maintenance and replenishment.
- Responsible for ensuring forklift certification/testing is completed on all employees who will be operating equipment.
- Provide direct leadership to Supervisors and Warehouse employees including mentoring, performance appraisals and development.
- Provides analysis and development of the loading process including quality, safety and cost reduction.
- Develops and establishes plans, operating objectives, goals and performance standards for warehouse operations.
- Ensures that safe operating procedures and practices are followed and monitors compliance to all recommended OSHA regulations.
- Assist in developing effective training programs, production standards and tracking.
- Responsible for integration and management of strategic initiatives related to CFGA operations.
- Responsible for keeping the warehouse organized and clean.
- Responsible for opening and closing the facility when needed.
- Responsible for showing professionalism in all of the following areas at all times.
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or Ged required
- 5 or more years’ experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Experience managing multiple facilities and warehouse start up preferred.
- WMS/RFID Technology experience required
- Supply Chain Industry and 3PL knowledge preferred
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to plan and control logistics.
- Competent financial management and P&L Skills required.
- Previous material handling equipment experience required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs repetitively.
- Mature judgement regarding handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Must be able to communicate with people/employees effectively.
- Excellent oral & written communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of basic computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management & organizational skills.
- Must possess and be able to maintain valid driver’s license
- Must be able to prioritize & work in a rapidly changing, fast growth environment.
- Must have the ability to work in a warehouse environment and various weather conditions.
- There will be long hours and must be able to work until the shift is complete; there is no definite shift or quitting time.
- Must be able to pass background checks (i.e. police background, reference checks)
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record:
- Cannot have more than two (2): moving violations and/or at-fault vehicle accidents (any combination) in the past three (3) years (for speeding, violations must be under 16mph)
- Cannot have more than one (1): speeding violation of 16-29mph OR at-fault accident in the past three (3) years
- Cannot have a major violation such as: DUI/DWI, hit-and-run, reckless driving, and/or super speeder (29+mph) violation in the past five (5) years
