This job is offered to a person that enjoys animals, with an emphasis on horses.
Previous experience strongly preferred but will teach (train), to walk, groom and care for thoroughbred racehorses. (If you have "NO Experience" - this would be asking too much for both of us) - Enjoying the horses is part of the benefit of the job, but it's very physical.
My horses get the highest quality everything, so this job requires a person with a good work ethic and enjoys accomplishing goals, even if they take time to achieve. FYI - the thoroughbred can be high strung / so paying attention and being careful is imperative (Important). They are also the smartest and most giving of horses and with time and trust can be a good friend / most like human interaction. The most important part of the job happens between 5 AM & 11 AM. with afternoon hours also available (3:30 PM - 5:30 PM). A Full Time employee is preferred but if someone has a genuine interest Part Time is also available.
Salary is based on your Benefit to the Stable - I pay $16 per hour to start, regardless of experience, and give raises as performance improves - A top level employee could earn significantly more + commissions (these can be significant if the horses are competing well).
Hopefully you have a car or a dependable mode of transportation - being on time is essential.
Proper ID and Documents, stating you are eligible to legally work in the USA is required.
Benefits: Income - weight loss / muscle tone - Therapeutic (helps with mild anxiety) - Free living quarters for Full Time employees (available for both gender's - Enjoy yourself (the horses don't mind a terrible singer) and can even carry a conversation - Feeling of accomplishment - Always learning new things.
This is outdoor work but inside a new barn. Cell Phone use Only Permitted for Emergencies and During Breaks, same goes for vaping ( on a short break). Vaping for some people is highly addictive.
Thank You.
