Duties Include:
- Oversee the daily operations of the hospice agency, ensuring that all services are delivered in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the quality of care and ensure patient and family satisfaction.
- Manage the hospice budget, including forecasting, resource allocation, and financial reporting to maintain fiscal responsibility.
- Recruit, hire, and train hospice staff, including nurses, doctors, and administrative personnel, to create a skilled and compassionate care team.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary team meetings to review patient care plans, ensuring that individual patient needs are met across physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions.
- Negotiate and maintain contracts with vendors, service providers, and insurance companies to secure the necessary resources and support for hospice operations.
- Lead community outreach and education programs to raise awareness about hospice services and foster partnerships with local healthcare providers and organizations.
- Implement and oversee a comprehensive volunteer program, including recruitment, training, and assignment of volunteers to support patients and families, enhancing the hospice care experience.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years in an administrative or supervisory capacity in a hospice program. Experience in business administration. Budgeting and financial management skills. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work well in a team and lead a diverse group of individuals
Educational Requirements:
Degree in business, health care, and nursing or related field. Registered Nurse License strongly preferred.
