Assistant General Manager

Position Summary
Holiday Inn is seeking a motivated, hands-on, and guest-focused Assistant General Manager (AGM) to support the daily operations of our hotel. The AGM will work closely with the General Manager to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction, maintain brand standards, drive revenue, lead team members, and achieve operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with hotel management experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of all hotel departments.
- Lead, coach, and motivate team members while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure exceptional guest service by promptly resolving guest concerns and maintaining high service standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction scores, online reviews, and implement improvement initiatives.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, and employee development.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, and brand standards.
- Assist in managing labor costs, payroll, departmental expenses, and hotel profitability.
- Conduct daily property inspections to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and operational excellence.
- Work closely with the Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare reports, analyze hotel performance metrics, and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, local, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of hotel management or supervisory experience required.
- Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager, Front Office Manager, Operations Manager, or similar leadership role preferred.
- IHG experience is a plus.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent guest service and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to respond quickly to operational needs throughout the property.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
