Position Overview
We are seeking a polished, service-driven Sales Lead to support the daily operations of our NYC flagship luxury boutique. This role is ideal for a hospitality-minded retail leader who is passionate about elevated client experiences, team development, and luxury beauty and wellness.
The Sales Lead partners closely with the Sales Manager to ensure exceptional client service, operational excellence, and strong business performance while helping cultivate a refined and welcoming boutique environment. The ideal candidate leads with warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail while thriving in a highly experiential retail setting.
Core Responsibilities
Luxury Client Experience
- Deliver elevated, personalized service that reflects the brand’s luxury hospitality standards
- Build meaningful relationships with clients through thoughtful clienteling and follow-up communication
- Support a welcoming, immersive boutique environment focused on discovery, ritual, and sensory experience
- Anticipate client needs while providing tailored product recommendations and service
- Resolve client concerns professionally, thoughtfully, and with discretion
Leadership & Team Support
- Support the Sales Manager in leading, coaching, and developing the boutique team
- Lead by example through active selling, floor presence, and elevated customer engagement
- Help foster a collaborative, positive, and service-oriented team culture
- Assist with onboarding, training, and performance coaching of team members
- Serve as Manager on Duty in the Sales Manager’s absence
Sales & Business Performance
- Support achievement of boutique sales goals and key business metrics
- Monitor KPIs including conversion, average transaction value, and client retention
- Assist with local outreach initiatives, boutique events, and experiential activations
- Support client outreach and appointment-based selling initiatives
- Contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly business reporting and operational planning
Boutique Operations & Visual Excellence
- Assist with scheduling, opening/closing procedures, payroll support, and cash handling
- Help maintain exceptional boutique presentation, cleanliness, and merchandising standards
- Support inventory management, replenishment, stock organization, and cycle counts
- Ensure operational consistency and adherence to company policies and luxury service standards
- Assist with seasonal launches, merchandising updates, and in-store storytelling initiatives
Qualifications
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience within luxury retail, beauty, wellness, hospitality, or premium lifestyle environments
- Passion for luxury service, beauty, fragrance, skincare, and client experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to support sales performance and team development
- Strong attention to detail and operational execution
- Weekend availability is required, including support during key retail periods, activations, and special events
- Flexible availability including evenings and holidays
Preferred Experience
- Experience within luxury beauty, cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, wellness, or boutique retail concepts
- Experience managing and hosting boutique events, client experiences, or community activations preferred
- Professional makeup artistry experience or strong beauty product knowledge preferred
- Experience working with affluent or high-touch clientele
- Familiarity with KPI-driven retail environments
- Visual merchandising experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Comfortable supporting operational and customer-facing responsibilities throughout the day
