Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Charge Nurse to lead and coordinate nursing care within our healthcare facility. Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
- Coordinate patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and monitor progress to meet clinical goals.
- Oversee medication administration, IV infusions, catheter care, and other complex procedures with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations including HIPAA, long-term care standards, and infection control policies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate seamless patient transitions across departments such as ICU, emergency room, or long-term care units.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation using EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks; ensure timely updates of medical records.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety, pain management, dementia care, and specialized services like Alzheimer's or memory care.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license with current registration in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
- Proven experience as a Charge Nurse or in a supervisory nursing role within acute care, long-term care, or hospital settings.
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and clinical assessment techniques.
- Demonstrated expertise in critical care areas such as ICU, emergency medicine, trauma centers (Level I or II), or specialty units like PICU or hospice care.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems including Cerner and eClinicalWorks; familiarity with EMR management is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities, and those requiring dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
- Knowledge of infection control practices, sterile processing techniques, airway management, tube feeding procedures, and basic life support (BLS/CPR).
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations such as triage in urgent or emergency settings while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
- 2 years of recent Perianesthesia (PACU) nursing experience

Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
