Cook – Stockton Beachfront Eatery | Cape May, NJ
Stockton Beachfront Eatery is seeking an experienced cook to join our team for the summer season. We are a fast-paced beachfront café serving breakfast and lunch, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in preparing quality food and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare breakfast sandwiches, lunch items, salads, wraps, and daily specials
- Maintain a clean and organized work station throughout the shift
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with prep work, stocking, and cleaning duties
- Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining food quality and presentation
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and fellow team members
Qualifications:
- Previous cooking or kitchen experience required
- Confident working independently and managing a station
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
