Commercial Licensed Plumber
Licensed Journeyman or Master Plumber
$40 to $60+ per hour starting compensation
Base annual equivalent: $83,000 to $125,000 per year
Before overtime, bonuses, benefits, and vehicle value.
Pay is based on license level, commercial experience, leadership ability, reliability, responsibility level, and overall fit.
Hassig Companies is hiring licensed Michigan plumbers for commercial plumbing, mechanical, and construction work. We need experienced plumbers who can do clean work, solve problems, communicate, and take ownership without being micromanaged.
This is not residential service sales or drain cleaning. It is steady commercial work for plumbers who care about the trade and want to be treated like professionals.
Roles We Are Hiring For
Licensed Journeyman Plumber
Strong hourly pay based on experience, ability, and fit
This role is for a strong field plumber who can perform quality commercial work, work from plans, solve field issues, and keep jobs moving.
A good fit is someone who can:
- Install commercial plumbing systems from rough in to finish
- Work on water, gas, sanitary, storm, drain, vent, and mechanical piping systems
- Read blueprints, shop drawings, specs, and layout plans
- Layout work and plan material
- Work independently without being babysat
- Coordinate with foremen, project managers, inspectors, customers, and other trades
- Mentor apprentices and helpers when needed
- Keep job sites clean, organized, safe, and professional
Master Plumber / Commercial Plumbing Lead / Foreman
Higher compensation package available for the right leadership level candidate
This role is for a higher level licensed plumber who can help lead commercial work, support the field, manage job flow, and make sure projects are planned and executed correctly.
This is not a desk only position. The right person should still be comfortable in the field, but also capable of helping with planning, layout, coordination, code questions, material planning, inspections, crew support, and project oversight.
For the right Master Plumber, Commercial Plumbing Lead, or Foreman, we are open to building the role around the person instead of forcing everyone into the same box. Pay, vehicle, benefits contribution, schedule, bonuses, field responsibility, and leadership responsibility will depend on experience, ability, and fit.
A good fit is someone who can:
- Help oversee commercial plumbing projects
- Support and guide journeymen, apprentices, and helpers
- Review plans, specs, layouts, and job requirements
- Help identify material needs before they become problems
- Coordinate with ownership, project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades
- Help solve code, layout, installation, and field coordination issues
- Run larger jobs or lead small crews when needed
- Step into the field when needed to keep work moving
- Help improve job planning, communication, and execution
Required
- Valid Michigan Journey Plumber License, commonly referred to as Journeyman License, or Michigan Master Plumber License
- Valid driver’s license
- Commercial plumbing experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and work from plans
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to plan ahead and communicate clearly
- Clean workmanship and pride in the trade
- Strong personal accountability
- Ability to mentor apprentices or helpers when needed
Higher Pay Consideration For
- Michigan Master Plumber License
- Backflow Certification
- Foreman or project lead experience
- Strong commercial plumbing background
- Ability to run larger commercial jobs or lead small crews
- Strong blueprint, layout, and coordination ability
- Experience with mechanical rooms, underground, rough in, finish, gas piping, water distribution, sanitary, storm, and vent systems
- Ability to support job planning, crew coordination, inspections, material planning, and field problem solving
Compensation
Expected starting pay: $40 to $60+ per hour
Approximately $83,000 to $125,000 per year before overtime, bonuses, benefits, and vehicle value.
Pay depends on license level, commercial experience, leadership ability, reliability, responsibility level, and overall fit.
This is not a fixed title based pay scale. A strong Journeyman Plumber with proven commercial leadership, layout ability, and job running experience may earn more than someone with a higher license but less field leadership ability.
For the right Master Plumber or commercial lead, we are open to building a compensation package around the person. Pay, vehicle, benefits contribution, schedule, bonuses, field responsibility, and leadership responsibility would depend on fit.
The goal is to match compensation to actual skill, responsibility, reliability, and value to the company.
