About the Role
We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented Sock Designer with a strong background in knitwear to lead the development of our Junior accessories collection. In this role, you will bring fun, functional, and trend-right designs to life while managing technical execution from initial concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
- Collection Development: Concept, design, and curate compelling, trend-forward Junior sock lines that align with our brand aesthetic.
- Technical Packages: Create thorough, production-ready tech packs (specifying yarn types, knit structures, color palettes, sizing, and artwork placement) for overseas factories.
- Factory Communication: Maintain clear, concise, and professional communication with overseas manufacturing partners to ensure design integrity and sample precision.
- Timeline Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing speed and detail to meet strict seasonal deadlines.
- Independent Execution: Take full ownership of design projects from start to finish as a proactive self-starter.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated experience in knit design (focus on legwear or hosiery strongly preferred).
- Trendy Junior Focus: Demonstrated strength and understanding of junior market- trends, graphics, silhouettes and color direction.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in creating accurate tech packs and working knowledge of standard knit machinery/constructions. Software proficiency in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop required.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially when coordinating across time zones with international teams.
- Work Style: High level of organization, strong multitasking abilities, and a reliable self-starter who thrives when working independently.
