Our client, a growing food manufacturing company, is looking for an FSQA Auditor to join their team in Brentwood, NY. This company is excited to bring delicious food with fresh ingredients to their customers and consumers across the USA.
What you will do in this role:
As the FSQA Auditor you will conduct audits of the companies ingredient and food packaging supplier facilities. This will include:
- Planning and conducting scheduled audits of ingredient and packaging facilities and these companies quality standards and food safety programs.
- Reviewing the suppliers food safety and quality documents.
- Completing and/or reviewing risk assessments of suppliers and ingredients to ensure that regulatory requirements are being met.
- Investigating and auditing any issues with ingredient suppliers.
- Participating in the internal SQF annual survey.
- Conducting evaluations in follow up to customer complaints.
What you will bring to the role:
· Background in food science, specifically with QA systems and food safety auditing.
· Experience with writing audit reports and interpreting corrective action responses.
· Flexibility to travel as required.
