Duties
- Welcome clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism, creating a positive experience from check-in to check-out
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient records, and client communications efficiently using veterinary software systems
- Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint during examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure safety for animals and team members
- Support clinical tasks such as medication administration, animal handling, catheterization, and basic laboratory procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas, kennels, and equipment following aseptic techniques
- Provide animal husbandry including feeding, grooming, and monitoring health status to promote optimal animal well-being
- Handle all pets with confidence in animal physiology and behavior management
Qualifications
- Prior kennel experience or animal handling background demonstrating comfort working with diverse animals
- Experience in veterinary clinics or as a veterinary assistant is highly preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, pet care practices, and animal anatomy for effective support roles
- Ability to perform animal restraint safely and confidently during examinations or treatments
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and aseptic techniques in clinical settings
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, team members, and external partners
