As a Senior ALC Developer, you play a critical role in maintaining and advancing our core mainframe systems. You design, develop, and optimize high-performance applications using Assembler Language Code, ensuring the stability and efficiency of our enterprise operations. This position offers the opportunity to tackle complex technical challenges, drive innovation in legacy systems, and contribute directly to the foundational technology that powers our business. You work within a dynamic team, providing technical expertise and shaping the future of our mainframe architecture.
This position is Hybrid with 25% travel to New Carrollton in Lanham, MD and 75% being fully remote.
- Designs, develops, and implements complex solutions using ALC (Assembler Language Code) to meet critical business requirements.

Leads the debugging and troubleshooting of intricate mainframe applications, identifying root causes and implementing effective resolutions.

Optimizes existing assembler language code for performance, efficiency, and maintainability, ensuring system stability.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust integration solutions across various mainframe components.

Develops and maintains applications utilizing COBOL, CICS, and DB2 within an enterprise mainframe operations environment.

Provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering best practices in mainframe development.

Participates in architectural discussions, contributing to the strategic direction of mainframe systems and system integration.

Ensures adherence to coding standards, security protocols, and operational procedures for all development activities.

Conducts thorough testing and quality assurance for all developed and modified applications.
- Expert-level proficiency in ALC (Assembler Language Code) and assembler language programming.

Deep expertise in debugging complex mainframe applications and system issues.

Strong command of COBOL, CICS, and DB2 for application development and data management.

Extensive experience with integration and system integration within large-scale mainframe environments.

Demonstrated ability in development and optimization of high-performance mainframe systems.

Must reside within 2 hours from Lanham, MD

Active Federal Clearance
Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mainframe application development.

Proven experience leading complex development projects from conception to deployment.
