***Please note scheduled hours of position varies starting time from 03:00, 04:00 or 05:00am Monday to Friday and 03:00am-11:30am Every other Saturday.
**This position does require potential candidate to pull orders in the warehouse when there are no deliveries.
Role and Responsibilities
. Pre inspection of truck, refer, etc prior to operating truck
· Transporting, loading, unloading, merchandise
. Assisting floor workers with order pulling when and if needed.
· Drives company Trucks for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to designated customer/ vendor warehouse or internally for inventory transfers
· Maintains delivery vehicles (e.g. checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) Maintenance log
· Maintain delivery records (e.g. delivery log, etc.)
· Validate completeness and accuracy of order before loading
· Inspect quality referring to Q.C. / Dispatch with product issues
· Other Duties as assigned by Management
· Follow all relevant job procedures
Performance Measures
· Delivers are made within a reasonable time
· Decrease in returns
· Decrease in damaged product due to shipping
· Decrease delivery times ensuring proper turnaround
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Basic Math and English Skills
· Valid Class A License
· Ability to read and understand Maps
Preferred Skills
· Forklift Operator Certification
· Bilingual
· Knowledge of LA and surrounding areas
. Fresh Produce or Dried goods knowledge a plus.
PHYISCAL ELEMENTS OF THE POSITION
· Use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls associated with driving a Truck / Trailer
· Bend or twist their body.
· Bend and twist Neck and Back.
· Repeat the same movements.
· Sit/Stand for long periods of time.
· Carry up to 50-100lbs of product repeatedly.
· Pulling and Pushing of Pallets with Electronic Pallet Jacks
