Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing machines and manually wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen tools following proper food safety sanitizing procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, sinks, and storage areas to meet sanitation standards
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and ensuring dining areas remain tidy and welcoming
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, boxes of supplies, and dishware safely according to kitchen health and safety standards.
- Follow food handling guidelines diligently to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety management compliance
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is valued
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and kitchen health standards
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and stand for extended periods during busy shifts
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment and understanding of food handling protocols
