ORB Tree Service Marketing is copywriters who can write well about trees and plants. We work with tree care companies across the country, and we need clear, accurate content that helps their businesses get found and win jobs.
You'll write from home on your own schedule, hit deadlines, and join a short weekly call with our team.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality copy for websites, social media channels, email campaigns, product descriptions, blog articles, and print advertisements that align with brand voice guidelines.
- Create engaging content strategies that enhance our online presence and support marketing initiatives within the tree and plant care sector.
- Edit and proofread all content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency while adhering to SEO best practices for increased visibility.
- Conduct keyword research to optimize web content for search engines (SEO), boosting organic traffic and engagement.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to craft compelling narratives that promote products, services, and educational resources related to tree and plant care.
- Research industry trends, competitor content strategies, and audience preferences to inform content creation efforts.
- Manage content across various platforms using content management systems (CMS) while maintaining brand voice consistency across all channels.
- Work SEO into your writing naturally: sensible keywords, clean structure, headers that make sense
- Edit and proofread your own work so it's clean before it reaches us
- Do the research to get the details right, since a wrong pruning tip or the wrong hardiness zone erodes a client's trust
- Take feedback in our weekly copywriting call and apply it to the next piece
Qualifications
- At least three years of professional writing experience, ideally at an agency
- Three published non-fiction samples you can share
- Experience writing about, or working in, a tree- or plant-related field
- Strong self-editing and an eye for the small stuff
- Comfortable with SEO writing and basic keyword research
- Comfortable in WordPress or a similar CMS
- Reliable. When you say Friday, you mean Friday
- Clear communicator with a good attitude on a team
