ASC Administrator
Location: Tampa, FL
Schedule: Full‑time, onsite
Newsom Eye is seeking an experienced ASC Administrator to lead operations for our Ambulatory Surgery Centers. This role oversees compliance, credentialing, safety programs, staff training, and regulatory readiness. We are looking for a highly organized, detail‑driven leader with strong ASC experience and a passion for quality and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily ASC operations, workflow, and facility management
- Manage equipment inventory, maintenance logs, and contracted services
- Lead ASC staff orientation, onboarding, and compliance training
- Conduct fire drills, disaster drills, emergency preparedness, code blue, sterile procedure, generator, pharmacy, and biomedical training
- Enforce ASC policies and procedures
- Manage physician, CRNA, and professional credentialing and re‑credentialing
- Maintain facility licensure (AAAHC, AHCA, CLIA, DEA, HCCE, Biomedical Waste, Pharmacy)
- Oversee QAPI program, performance improvement projects, and infection tracking
- Maintain AAAHC‑required logs (OR, IOL, defibrillator, refrigerator, generator, fire & safety)
- Prepare for AAAHC surveys and ensure ongoing regulatory readiness
- Oversee medical records compliance and EMR documentation
- Complete monthly surgery logs, quarterly state reporting, and monthly CAHPS reporting
- Maintain manuals, administrative binders, and regulatory updates
- Manage mail, invoices, purchase orders, and supply ordering
- Maintain pricing, supplies, and inventory in Nextech
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an ASC Administrator or ASC Manager required
- Strong knowledge of AAAHC, AHCA, CLIA, DEA, ASPEN, and federal/state regulations
- Experience with credentialing, QAPI, infection control, and ASC compliance
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced surgical environment
- EMR experience (Nextech preferred)
