Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow and adherence to quality standards
- Supervise and motivate staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members to foster professional growth
- Manage shift schedules, coordinate staffing levels, and ensure optimal coverage during peak hours
- Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; manage cash handling procedures
- Support food preparation and cooking processes to guarantee consistent quality and presentation
- Assist in managing budgets, analyzing profit and loss statements, and implementing cost-control measures
- Lead customer service initiatives to deliver an exceptional dining experience that encourages repeat business
- Conduct staff training sessions on food safety, food handling, customer service, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen management to optimize food production and ensure timely delivery of orders
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to resolve issues effectively
Skills
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management with assistant manager experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; proficient in cash handling and basic math skills
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, food safety management, and food handling practices
- Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively; excellent leadership and team management skills
- Experience with inventory control, budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and cost management strategies
- Familiarity with hospitality management principles including staff training & development, shift management, and customer service excellence
- Ability to communicate clearly with managerial staff, team members, guests, and vendors; managerial communication skills essential
- Knowledge of culinary techniques relevant to casual dining or fine dining environments; banquet or catering experience advantageous
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
