Responsibilities
- Coordinate between kitchen staff and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth food flow and timely service
- Expedite food orders by accurately prioritizing and organizing dishes for delivery to tables or stations
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including plating, garnishing, and ensuring presentation standards are met
- Maintain high standards of food safety and handling practices throughout all stages of service
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables efficiently and resetting dining areas promptly
- Communicate effectively with servers, chefs, and management to address any order discrepancies or special requests
- Uphold cleanliness and organization in the expo station to facilitate quick access to ingredients and tools
Experience
- Previous experience in food expediting or food service roles within restaurants or hospitality settings is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling techniques
- Experience with food preparation, plating, and banquet service is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Basic numeracy skills for order accuracy and inventory awareness
- Effective communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with team members and guests
