Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving, ensuring timely and secure delivery of freight. Your expertise in flatbeds will be essential to maintaining our high standards of safety and service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers on diverse routes, including OTR driving routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Load, unload, and secure freight with precision.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Transport flatbed loads.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to ensure compliance with safety regulations and vehicle maintenance standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation for each shipment, including delivery logs, load manifests, and inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate deliveries, report issues, or delays promptly.
Experience
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and proven experience in commercial truck driving.
- Prior experience with flatbeds is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route planning for efficient delivery execution.
- Hands-on experience with truck loading/unloading procedures and manual handling of cargo.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for dangerous goods transportation.
- Delivery driver experience on long-haul or regional routes is advantageous.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and adhere to all safety standards during load & unload activities.
