Responsibilities
- Provide professional hair styling, cutting, coloring, and finishing services tailored to client preferences
- Perform specialized treatments such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and hair threading to enhance client satisfaction
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools and workstations regularly in accordance with health regulations
- Assist clients at the front desk with scheduling appointments using salon software like MINDBODY and managing walk-ins efficiently
- Offer retail advice and upsell products such as hair care items, makeup, nail care products, and retail packages to boost sales
- Educate clients on hair care routines and product usage to ensure ongoing satisfaction and loyalty
- Mentor junior team members, sharing techniques in hair styling, color theory, and sanitation practices to foster a skilled team environment
Skills
- Proven expertise in hair styling, coloring, and advanced techniques like balayage or highlights
- Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management
- Strong understanding of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Experience with retail sales strategies including upselling and retail math to maximize revenue opportunities
- Skilled in performing hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading
- Excellent communication skills to connect with diverse clients and understand their needs effectively
- Store management experience or leadership qualities that support team mentoring and operational efficiency
