Job Summary
Dilla Libre is hiring an experienced, reliable Line Cook to join our kitchen squad! We are a local restaurant known for great food and awesome vibes. Because we operate without a manager on duty, we rely on self-motivated team members who take pride in their work, keep themselves busy during downtime, and keep the kitchen running smoothly.
This role involves line cooking, food prep, kitchen sanitation, and assisting on our food truck for exciting events like weddings, corporate parties, and food festivals. If you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, work well with others, and are ready to bring a great attitude to the line, apply today!
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items quickly and accurately to maintain high quality and speed.
- Handle daily food prep tasks, inventory restocking, and station setup.
- Maintain exceptional kitchen cleanliness, including line sanitization, dishwashing, and closing cleaning tasks.
- Work shift assignments on the Dilla Libre food truck for off-site events, caterings, and festivals as needed.
- Communicate professionally, clearly, and efficiently with both BOH kitchen mates and FOH staff.
- Take initiative during slow periods to clean, prep, and organize without needing direct supervision.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 1+ years of line cook or professional kitchen experience required.
- Self-Motivation: Able to stay productive, prioritize tasks, and keep busy without a manager present.
- Team Player: Clear, respectful communicator who collaborates effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Food Truck Ready: Flexibility and willingness to work shifts on our food truck at various off-site events.
- Efficiency: Ability to handle high-volume ticket rushes smoothly while keeping food quality high.
- Languages: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a huge plus!
Pay & Benefits
- Pay: $18/hr (depending on experience)
